The purpose of the Black and Silver Brigade Band Boosters Inc (BASB) is to promote and support the educational opportunities provided by the Houston County High School band programs including, but not limited to, marching band, concert band, color guard, winter guard, drum line / percussion, jazz bands, ensembles, and leadership training.
The objectives of the Corporation include raising funds (cash, goods, and services) for the establishment of an endowment fund that will provide a constant and ever-increasing income stream to the booster club and for providing additional funding that will be passed directly into the band program.
The Corporation will accomplish its objectives by focusing its efforts on three major areas: special events, sponsorships, and group concessions. Special events will be used to generate funds by capitalizing on the facilities available here at Houston County High School. Sponsorships will include corporate donations and support from alumni. Fundraisers will include group concessions for events, group sale fundraisers (mattress sales or popcorn sales), and hosting the Miss HCHS Pageant. Each of these major areas will be led by appointed chairpersons in charge of the respective fund raising activity and supported by a committee assembled from band parents and other volunteers. With cooperation and support from students, parents, alumni and others in the community, the BASB will establish a legacy that will benefit the band programs now and for years to come
